These cushions are inspired by the intricate and time-consuming chenille tufting that decorates the lower portion of a Pwo Karen unmarried women's tunic. The cotton yarn is inserted during the weaving process and is then painstakingly trimmed by hand afterwards.
This is a traditional design which represents the Karen cultural heritage and will look beautiful in any home or interior setting. Create a new design aesthetic from old, time honoured cultures and traditions.
