Cashmere/Wool Throw- Tandoori
Exceptionally soft, lightweight, with exquisite natural sheen, our cashmere throws are the most luxurious of all our handwoven products. There is nothing more treasured than cashmere when it comes to woollen textiles. Our cashmere throws are handwoven in Nepal by Nepalese artisans using time-honoured techniques and are a blend of soft and luxurious cashmere with wool added for strength and durability.
Cashmere blankets are one of the warmest and softest blankets on Earth. They are finer, stronger, lighter, softer and approximately three times more insulating than sheep wool. Our cashmere throw is a “must have” for snuggling up on the sofa during chilly winter nights- while looking fabulous and socially conscious at the same time.
Handwoven by artisans working with Noble Fibre in Nepal
Designed in collaboration with Kinship and Noble Fibre
50% Cashmere/50% Wool
127cm x 203cm / 50in x 80in
Our cashmere/wool throws are handwoven by female artisans skilled at hand spinning and weaving and co-designed with Monica Garry and Noble Fibre. They are an ultra-soft textured woven blend of cashmere and wool with short twisted fringe on four sides. The wool is ultra soft and the yarn is hand spun, hand woven and brushed for extra softness.
We support and lift women in vulnerable communities and everything is made start-to-finish in a fair trade environment.
Cashmere has been manufactured in Mongolia, Nepal and Kashmir for thousands of years.
Noble Fibre sources some of the cashmere directly from Tibetan nomads in Western Tibet, near Mount Kailash, for the Fibre Tibet collection. Currently quantities are limited and distances to access the regions where we work is an 8-10 day drive from Lhasa. Our cashmere is brought from Western Tibet to Kathmandu, Nepal, to one of Noble Fibre’s workshops. Kathmandu remains one of the finest centers for hand weaving.
The goal of Noble Fibre is to source fibre and other materials directly; improve fibre quality; increase incomes for nomads, weavers, local businesses, and workshops; and produce exceptional quality products for our customers at a great value.

Care: This is a one of a kind, handwoven product. Please treat with care and respect and it will endure. Spot clean, hand wash with cold water and air dry or dry clean.
We recommend hand washing in cold water with a wool wash and air dry over a towel bar or line or on a flat surface. (never put in a dryer even for 5 or 10 minutes as the fibre will shrink).
